Your bike will be set up in the North America style with the front brake on the left and the rear brake on the right.
We ship your order with our national post service AnPost who works with USPS in the USA and CanadaPost in Canada. This delivery is fully tracked door to door and takes approximately one week.
Though the shipping costs have increased dramatically recently, we have offset a large part of this. At only US$35 per bike it’s the best value possible to get a pretty big bike box to you!
Your order excludes tax, but you will need to pay your local sales tax on arrival to the USA, which the delivery company arranges.
Though there is an ocean between us, we will take care of you as if you are our neighbour and will do our absolute best to ensure you are happy with your purchase.
The lighter the bike, the more easily it can be pushed along, steered and lifted which will give your child a great biking experience.
The LittleBig frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminium which is commonly used in road and mountain bikes due to its light weight and durability.
The LittleBig balance bike with 14-inch wheels gives a stable ride and glides over bumps better than the 10″ or 12″ wheels found on most standard balance bikes.
The wheels feature air-filled rubber tires, which are comfortable, grippy, and easily replaceable should they eventually wear out. They roll on sealed cartridge bearings which are quiet and stay smooth for years.
LittleBig is hand-assembled in Ireland with high quality parts, including a lightweight pivotal saddle, alloy riser handlebar and forged alloy BMX-style stem. These are all adjustable to ensure the bike is perfect for your child.
V-brakes front and rear ensure your little one can stop quickly and safely. Short-reach alloy brake levers work with little hands.
Fitting the separate pedal kit to the balance bike converts it into a pedal bike. When your little one is ready to begin pedalling, just add these and off they go!
Having learned to balance first, your child’s transition to pedalling will be easy, and usually only takes a few short goes.

The LittleBig starts as a little balance bike for kids age two or over.
What sets our design apart is that the unique frame grows bigger as your child grows. And when they are ready to start pedalling, LittleBig can be transformed into a proper pedal bike.
Even though it starts as a balance bike with 14 inch wheels, the LittleBig has a similar saddle height to many 12 inch balance bikes.
These unique features allow it to be used for up to 4 years and take the place of at least two bikes.

We sell the balance bike and pedals separately so customers can choose to purchase the balance bike by itself if preferred.
Purchasing the pedal kit with the bike means you will have them ready for when your little one wants to begin pedalling and you save yourself the cost of posting the pedals separately at a later date.
We would not recommend using stabilisers (known as training wheels in the USA) while your child is learning to pedal.
Starting on a LittleBig balance bike, your child will naturally learn the core cycling skills of balancing, steering and braking. So when you add the pedals to their bike, the transition to pedalling will be easy!

Customers outside the EU will not be charged tax on their purchase from our website, however you will be responsible for paying your own countries import taxes. You will be contacted by your local customs/revenue and asked to make a simple online payment ahead of delivery.
This applies to UK customers since Brexit. The delivery costs shown below do not form part of the import tax payment, they are specifically for delivering the package to the destination.

This bike is absolutely fantastic, all three of my kids learned to ride on it and are all confident cyclists now. Having learned to balance, steer and control the brakes first, when we put the pedals on they just started cycling, it was that simple! Build quality is exceptional, my nephew has just moved on to a bigger bike and is passing the same LittleBig on to his younger sister who will be the 5th person to learn to cycle on it, and it still looks like new! Could not recommend enough!

Excellent bikes. We have 2 of these bikes. They are excellent quality and are beautifully made. They are very easy to assemble. Both children loved them as balance bikes and started on them when they were nearly 3. They have now transitioned onto their pedals with ease. They are light weight and ease to manage for them. Attaching the pedals is relatively simple and straightforward.
I would 100% recommend to a friend and do so on regular occasions.

I’m a huge fan and happy customer of little big bikes. Since children grow so fast, it’s quite challenging to find products for them that lasts without skimping on quality which they have gone beyond for a kid’s bike. My kids have gone through all the stages of the bike—from the little bike mode to big bike mode and now proudly to the pedal mode. It grows with your child and can astonishingly cover 3 different bicycle sizes in 1 bike. I have twins and my regret is that I didn’t get 2 little big bikes for them. Their other bike will be outgrown soon that only lasted about a year. They have the best customer service as well—quick to respond, personal, and always helpful in a thorough chat. I will be very sad when the boys move on from this bike but in the mean time, we will continue to enjoy it as long as we can and I can’t recommend this bike more.

What a ride it has been, literally for my son. The progress he has been able to make as he grows is amazing. Each time we adjust the bike he gets excited to jump back on. Having the hand brake is great practice now that he can reach. I showed him the pedal kit and now he can’t wait to give it a go.

Assembly was straight forward and we were really excited for my son to get his bike for his second birthday (especially being November 2020 and lockdowns etc so would give him something to play on outside) he is tall for his age so we were confident that this would be a great bike that could grow with him and we have the pedals ready for when he starts using the bike… however it is a very heavy bike so he is only just starting to slowly use it now at 4 years old just due to the overall weight of the bike
We had to buy a lighter balance bike in addition to the little big bike so he could actually learn to use a balance bike
So it’s a lovely looking bike and we will get the use out of it eventually just has been two years coming for us
If you have a child already confidently using a different balance bike then I would recommend these but if it’s their first time on a balance bike you may find the same situation as we have for the last couple of years

As the LittleBig bike comes with front and rear brakes and 14″ wheels (rather than the more standard 12″ wheels), it does add a bit of weight but we normally find that if kids are tall enough to fit the saddle, they can handle the bike well. The weight is all low down to the ground which makes the bike stable and more confidence inspiring once they get going. We do have the Brushed Edition bike which is 600g lighter than the standard model, but we will definitely take your experience into account and will try to improve future generations of the bike. Super frustrated with assembly. The little frame that holds the handle bars was screwed so tight, I had to use a wrench with the Allen wrench and even then I almost wasn’t able to attach the handlebars. The same thing happened with the nuts on one side of the front wheel. Finally, the handbrake would not connect. It was a full 3-4mm short of reaching the cable no matter how hard I pulled. I don’t do bike repair obviously, so I had to try a few things before figuring out how to loosen the brake cable without it sticking straight out. I’m now worried about the integrity of the handbrakes which is great.
But my kid loves it!

I was sorry to hear that you had difficulty with the initial assembly. All our bikes are assembled by hand here in Ireland and everything is perfect when it leaves us. Given that our mechanic opens the brake cable, removes wheel etc by hand and are packed without any further tightening, they should have gone back in easily too.
