No need to buy a new bike when your little one is ready to ride

Lightweight
Alloy Frame

The lighter the bike, the more easily it can be pushed along, steered and lifted which will give your child a great biking experience.

The LittleBig frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminium which is commonly used in road and mountain bikes due to its light weight and durability.

Fast Rolling
14 Inch Wheels

The LittleBig balance bike with 14-inch wheels gives a stable ride and glides over bumps better than the 10″ or 12″ wheels found on most standard balance bikes.

The wheels feature air-filled rubber tires, which are comfortable, grippy, and easily replaceable should they eventually wear out. They roll on sealed cartridge bearings which are quiet and stay smooth for years.

A Real Bike
Not A Toy

LittleBig is hand-assembled in Ireland with high quality parts, including a lightweight pivotal saddle, alloy riser handlebar and forged alloy BMX-style stem. These are all adjustable to ensure the bike is perfect for your child.

V-brakes front and rear ensure your little one can stop quickly and safely. Short-reach alloy brake levers work with little hands.

Converts into A
Pedal Bike

Fitting the separate pedal kit to the balance bike converts it into a pedal bike. When your little one is ready to begin pedalling, just add these and off they go!

Having learned to balance first, your child’s transition to pedalling will be easy, and usually only takes a few short goes.

Superb bike, great quality components and nice build! Super quick NI delivery, and excellent support if you have questions on setup. Very pleased, our 3 year old loves it and quickly got to grips after a few handlebar and seat adjustments. Only way it could possibly be improved would be to figure out a way to reduce the weight without compromising strength. Even as balance bike it feels around the same weight as my 5 year olds pedal bike (Bonaly 16). Also would buy a mudguard for this in future.

The bike is a great fit for my three old, however, when I convert it to have peddles, the seat sits to high fir him to reach the ground comfortably without falling over. I am going to make a small adjustment to the seat height so my son can peddle and reach the ground. Other than that, the bike is great! The hand brakes work really well, my son figured those out in about a day or two. The time it took assemble the bike wasn’t more than about 10 to 15 minutes. Compared to the other bikes that are being sold inside the US this bike blows them away in both what it offers to the child and price. Another key selling point for me is that this bike doesn’t have a coaster brake. Coaster brakes are a good way to stop but if you truly care about your child’s progression while riding a bicycle then stay away from coaster brakes.

  4. Dominic Welch

This peddle kits was very easy to install.

  5. Paul Ong

well built, good design. maybe can add a sticker on the front wheel for orientation.

  6. Paul Ong

yet to fix on but went through all the parts and am satisfied

I bought this bike, after much research, for my son when he was fours years old. Fair enough it might be a little more expensive than your typical balance bike but it grows with them and what they need so you don’t have to yet again size up to a ‘big bike’. He was a nervous cyclist and this was perfect. It gave him such confidence in his own ability and he never looked back. It is everything you want in a bike and more. It will withstand the test of time and typical boys. It is incredibly sturdy but light enough for him to lift if he needs to and two years on still looks like it came out of the box. I could not recommend this product highly enough plus you have a lovely team behind the company to help with anything you need!

  8. Andrew Pirkey

Received the bike in the US in just over a week including a holiday. Bike is packaged extremely well, pre assembly quality was perfect. Bike assembled quickly and only needed minor adjustments. Can’t wait for my grandson to try it. This deserves more than 5 stars!

  9. Alex Basurto

Started my boy around 2 1/2 years old on the glider. He developed a great sense of balance, better than any training wheels will give. Around 3 1/2 , he now uses the pedals and the handbrakes. I’m a avid biker, so it’s a proud moment he uses his bike with pedals at a young age. Loved this bike.

I’m absolutely over the moon with this bike!
    10000% worth the money.
I bought my 3 year old it for his 3rd birthday as it was stylish. Put the peddles on it yesterday and let him go, he rode like he’s been riding years, no accidents, hasn’t fallen off and absolutely loves his now “big boy bike with pedals”
He couldn’t wait to take it to pre-school today and show everyone. All the teachers commented that they have never known a 3 year old be able to ride a bike, let alone the first time.
I’ve recommended this bike to everyone.
Best money I have ever spent.

Frequently Asked Questions

The LittleBig starts as a little balance bike for kids age two or over.

Unlike most balance bikes, as your child grows, the unique frame can grow too!

The LittleBig is different to normal balance bikes as pedals can be fitted, converting it into a proper pedal bike.

For more information about balance bikes and how they work, check out this article.

We sell the balance bike and pedals separately so customers can choose to purchase the balance by itself if preferred.

It’s handy to purchase the pedals and have them ready for when your little one wants to begin pedalling.

Things might click with your kid’s confidence and coordination and you might want to strike while the iron is hot and try the pedals ASAP rather than waiting for us to send them to you. You also save the cost of posting the pedals separately.

We would not recommend using stabilisers while your child is learning to pedal. Having started on a balance bike, your child should now be comfortable gliding along independently, so the transition to pedalling will be easy. Putting stabilisers onto the LittleBig bike would be a backwards step as your child would become used their support, undoing all the good work.  You can read more information on our post balance bikes vs stabilisers.
Customers outside the EU will not be charged VAT on our website, however you will be responsible for paying your own countries import duty and taxes. This applies to UK customers since 1st January 2021. The delivery costs shown below do not form part of the VAT and duty payment, they are specifically for delivering the package to the destination.
