Update: The LittleBig bikes are coming…again!

Trying out the LittleBig balance bike

It’s been a topsy turvy few months here at LittleBig bikes.

As many of you may have seen, our bikes were destroyed in a warehouse fire in April. It was truly gutting to lose them so soon after starting but we were determined to bounce back as soon as possible. We received lots of support through customers and friends alike and are now well on our way to getting up and running again.

A new batch of bikes had been ordered a couple of weeks before the fire and will include an Apple Green LittleBig as well as the Flame Red and Electric Blue colour options which you can pre-order through our shop. These bikes are on their way to Ireland and due to arrive on the 13th August. The challenges of the last few months will make these new LittleBig bikes even more special : )

We’ve been busy getting kids on our fleet of demo bikes at events like the Enduro World Series mountain-bike race and local school sports days. These events were a great chance for kids of all ages to try out the LittleBig, clearly showing that it really does grow with your child. Nearly all the the kids tried the ramps, chicanes and see-saw on the first lap then kept getting faster and faster as their confidence grew.

We were thrilled to be featured as an award winner in the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2015 alongside the likes of Ferrari, Mercedes, Apple and Sony. Sharing the pages with such great design is something we’re very proud of.

Let the good times roll!

Round the world cyclist, mountain bike racer, engineer and all round bike geek, Simon Evans clearly loves all things BIKE.

Simon worked as a Structural Engineer in Cambridge for a number of years before setting off on an 18 month, 30,000km cycle around the world, testing his bike, body and mind to the limit and giving a wealth of wonderful experiences.

Coming home in 2010, he wanted to combine his engineering with his love of bikes to create a better and more sustainable bike for kids. In 2015 he launched LittleBig bikes which have now been sold to to 77 countries around the world giving thousands of kids the best start on two wheels.
