Absolutely blown away by this bike. We have tried countless different bikes/trikes with our daughter over the last 3 years without her taking to any. She's 3.5years old now and as soon as she sat on her littlebig bike she was off and has been out on it every day since. As parents who are/were mountain bikers ourselves we are delighted to have her finally loving biking. The quality of the brakes are amazing for a child's bike. She had the hang of them instantly as they are so easy to use. We couldn't reccomend it enough. And the fact you can adjust it as they grow is a no brainer. You only have to ever by 1 bike! The quality of the bike overall is next level.
I can’t say enough good things about our LittleBig Bike! My daughter had been really nervous about learning to ride — she just didn’t want to try. But once she got on this bike, everything changed. She started with it as a balance bike, got comfortable so quickly, and when we added the pedals, she was pedalling all by herself within a couple of hours. I honestly couldn’t believe it!
The design is genius — it grows with her, so it feels like we’ll have it for years. It’s sturdy, really well made, and she absolutely loves it (which is saying something for a kid who used to avoid bikes!).
The LittleBig team have been fantastic too — so helpful, kind, and just genuinely sound people. You can tell they really care about what they do.
It feels great to support an Irish company that’s making something this good. I’d recommend LittleBig Bikes to anyone — it’s given my daughter so much confidence and joy, and that’s priceless.
We’ve had our little big bike for 10 months now. Daughter uses it daily as she travels to nursery and back and she loves it. Just changed it to put the pedals on, took me a surprisingly easy 20 mins to get it sorted, I’ll take that over shelling out for a new bike with pedals. After about 15 mins figuring her feet out she was able to pedal about. With more practice she’ll be pedalling to nursery in no time. Really surprised at how well she took to the pedals, having it being the same bike has given her familiarity and confidence. Customer service has been really clear and responsive. Would 100% recommend
We purchased our little big bike as a replacement for our daughter’s first balance bike, we wish we had known about little big at the beginning and had got one from the start.
Our daughter loves her little big bike and as parents we are really impressed with the quality of the bike. We have also noticed our daughter’s confidence with pedalling is greater than that of her peers who have been using stabilisers. We couldn’t recommend little big bikes more.
We had issues with the breaks when converting from the big balance bike to pedal bike however a quick WhatsApp message some videos back and forth and the issue was sorted. First class customers service.
We were looking for a bike that would suit our son, as he had outgrown his balance bike but wasn’t quite ready for pedals yet. He loves riding over bumps and small jumps at our local bike park, so a bike with stabilisers wasn’t an option.
We came across the Little Big Bikes and it’s been absolutely perfect! It allowed our son to continue learning on a balance bike, but with a bigger, adjustable frame and proper brakes — giving him more speed and confidence while keeping things safe.
After about five months of riding it as a balance bike, he’s now confidently pedalling on his own! The transformation process was simple — the bike was easy to assemble, and adding the pedal kit when he was ready was quick and straightforward.
It’s a brilliant design, excellent quality, and has made learning to ride a really positive experience for him (and for us!). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bike that truly grows with their child.
