The LittleBig convertible bike stands out. Built with quality components and designed to perform, it seamlessly takes kids from the balance stage to pedaling with confidence.
This cool machine makes a lot of sense: great convertible geometry, excellent part spec and amazing build quality offers tremendous value
The LittleBig easily guides your mini-shredder through their exciting journey from balance bike to pedal powered adventures."
One of the most adjustable kids bikes ever. Extremely light for a kids bike. Buy it once and it lasts quite a few years. An excellent, excellent bike. It’s proven to be a product that I still use all the time.
A little bike packed with brilliant design. I love the idea that one bike can accompany my child on his entire learn-to-ride journey, before being passed on to siblings or friends. It has a great design, so I am sure the LittleBig will last.
The LittleBig bike is a brilliant concept that will see your child travel from the early stages of balance through to learning how to pedal and beyond. It's light, well made and above all so exciting to ride that you'll struggle to get them off it.
We really liked the concept behind the Little Big Bike. The idea of starting as a balance bike, growing with your child, and then adding the pedals later is brilliant in theory.
Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for our little one. He struggled with the balancing aspect almost immediately, and I think that’s partly because it’s quite a heavy bike compared to some dedicated balance bikes. Instead of learning to glide, he mostly ended up walking around with it. Despite trying on and off for around a year, he never really gained the confidence to balance.
Because the bike is designed around balance riding, you can’t fit stabilisers, so once it became clear balancing wasn’t working for him, there wasn’t really another option. As a result, it’s now sitting unused, which has made it feel like a bit of a waste of money.
The other thing we noticed is that the brakes require quite a lot of force to work effectively. I can imagine that being difficult for some younger children with smaller hands—although, in our case, he never got going fast enough for it to matter!
We still think it’s a fantastic idea, and I’m sure it will suit some children really well, but based on our experience, we probably wouldn’t buy it again.
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We really appreciate the balanced feedback and are genuinely sorry to hear that the LittleBig wasn't the right fit for your little one.
It's true that every child learns differently. While most children take to a balance bike quite quickly, some need more time and encouragement, and a small number simply don't enjoy the balance bike approach. The idea behind the LittleBig (and any balance bike) is that children learn balance first, as this is the skill that makes pedalling much easier later on. For that reason, we don't design the bike to use stabilisers, as they can actually slow the development of balance.
The current LittleBig is one of the lightest 14-inch balance bikes available at just 4.3 kg and the weight is very low to the ground which is intended to give confidence and stability.
On the brakes, they are fitted with adjustable short-reach Tektro levers which are on most high end kids bikes. The lever reach can be brought even closer to the handlebars using the small allen key grub screw on the lever body.
We're sorry your experience wasn't the one we'd hoped for. We do appreciate you recognising the concept behind the bike, and we hope your little one enjoys cycling in whatever way suits them best. If you would like some of our guidance to see if we can adjust the bike to fit your son better, please reach out by email or whatsapp.
Best wishes,

So far so good. The assembly went well. Today's the big day: our grandson's birthday. We will see what he thinks in a few hours.
We had to wait a bit for shipping to Belgium, but it was definitely worth it! In less than 4 days, our son was cycling independently. Where training wheels disappoint, this bike wins on all fronts: beautiful, good posture, and rolls smoothly. The transition to pedaling happened practically by itself.
It’s a sharp looking great bike. Our little Sulli is still just getting used to it. Thinking she will have years of fun with it.
I found it difficult to choose between first for my 4 year old having never had to purchase one before. I found little big bikes and liked the look of the bike, the fact it develops as my boy learns how to balance and then ride, and is also produced nearby and run independently. The bike has been great and now my boy is riding confidently. Great product, great price for what you get, and definitely worth it. Not complicated to put together either,
