The ideal bike to start enjoying every ride

We buy the Little Big Bike more than 4 year ago. The bike is so well-designed and very lightweight, which is really important for kids to enjoy riding it (especially if they are themselves lightweight). We started using the pedals just after his 4th birthday and our kid was confortable after just a few hours. The many rides in balance mode since its young age help him to acquire the skill naturally. The bike has been ridden on city and off-road paths, pumptracks, and even skateparks and is still in excellent condition. We have so many memories with it.

In case of doubt, buy the short seatpost to start riding earlier.

We’ve had the littlebig bike since Christmas. We previously had a small balance bike which my son quickly outgrew and never really ‘balanced’ on, more walked with a bike between his legs. Since having the little big bike, my son’s confidence has skyrocketed on his bike, and we have been continually able to make small adjustments to adapt as he’s grown. When he was confidently balancing and braking, we introduced the pedals which were easy to fit, and he rode with pedals that same day.
We recently contacted littlebig as our son is very tall for his age (99th centiles) and is reaching the height limit for the bike, having only recently added in the pedals. Daire from LittleBig gave us some great tips on how we can further adjust the frame components to get the most use out of it before we have to get a bigger bike. Brilliant post purchase support.
Super impressed with the bike, how adaptable it is, and how quickly my son has taken to riding with pedals, and am so pleased that we will be able to use it again with my second child!

Amazing product

Possibly the best present we will everbuyfor our nearly 3 year old. Having outgrown her cheap balance bike from Argos we decided that she needed proper bike tyres and brakes as she had expressed desire to try the hills on the local BMX track. Th bike arrived very quickly. It was easy to assemble. We have done many laps of the BMX track and having owned the bike for nearly 3 months she has been on it every day. IfIhad a negativeIwould say it was that the brakes and wheels needed a bit of tuning to stop the brake pads rubbing on the rims.

All four of them were pedalling from 3.5/4yrs and loved the bike. It has stood the test of time and when my 4th child is finished with it, I have no doubt that it will continue to be used by others. The great thing is you can buy all parts separately so if you need to replace any parts (which wasn't needed very much) or just want to spruce it up (which never needed to be done during our time with it), it can be done very easily and this bike can just keep going and continue to be loved, which is also great environmentally! Additionally, customer service is second to none with littlebig...you can't go wrong!

Excellent bikes. We have 2 of these bikes. They are excellent quality and are beautifully made. They are very easy to assemble. Both children loved them as balance bikes and started on them when they were nearly 3. They have now transitioned onto their pedals with ease. They are light weight and ease to manage for them. Attaching the pedals is relatively simple and straightforward.
I would 100% recommend to a friend and do so on regular occasions.

I’m an amateur bike mechanic and appreciate good components. I have shopped far and wide for a kid’s bike that would really impress me. This is it!

As I said to my grandson, it has big bike parts like mine. That’s what really impressed me. It’s real solid yet light weight, has truly functional hand brakes, and a real headset for the handlebars. The wheel bearings are smooth and solid as well as on the pedal assembly. Who would’ve thought on a kids bike! He likes to ride fast, and there’s lots of dirt roads and hills around here. I wanted him to be safe on a good functional bike. I’m very pleased! Thank you all for a wonderful product!

Oh, and this bike made it all the way to Hawaii. The box was so beat up that I actually took pictures for fear there was damage. The packing was so well done that the bike was in pristine condition.

I had been looking for a bike for my 2 year old and wasn’t sure whether to go for a balance bike or a bike with stabilisers. When I came across Little Big Bike it seemed like the perfect answer. The day the bike arrived I couldn’t wait for my daughter to see it. It really is beautiful and she loves it. We went straight out for a go and my daughter took to it amazing. With the LittleBig, you don’t need to choose between a balance bike or a pedal bike; it’s three bikes in one! Your child will learn to balance and pedal with confidence, all on one trusted bike.

Unlike traditional children's bikes, our convertible balance bike eliminates the guesswork. It starts as a balance bike for toddlers as young as 2, and grows into a pedal bike—no need for new replacements.

For best results, measure your child’s inside leg length described below and ensure your child can place both feet flat on the ground while seated.

The size range has been improved for 2025 giving your child even more time to learn to ride.

How to measure your child's inside leg length Plus
  1. With your child wearing their shoes, stand them with their back against a wall.
  2. Place a book against the wall between their legs.
  3. Move the book up as high as is comfortable.
  4. Measure from the top of the book to the floor and this is the inside leg length.

We cover any obvious manufacturing defects – not covered are damages caused by neglect, crashes, misusage or wear and tear. All you need to do is contact us with a photo of the problem and we will help get your child back on their bike as quickly as possible.
