Lightweight Balance Bike (Only 4.3 kg)

One of the most important features for younger riders is weight. A lighter bike is easier to handle, easier to push, and far less intimidating for toddlers learning to ride. That’s why we’ve made the 2025 LittleBig even lighter — just 4.3 kg in balance mode and 6.3 kg with pedals.

We’ve trimmed 600g without sacrificing strength, using:

• Aluminium fork (50% lighter than the old steel version)
• Lightweight tyres and rims with fewer spokes
• Hollow axle bolt-on hubs
• A redesigned low-profile saddle, stem, and bars

The result? One of the lightest and most capable 14 inch balance bikes on the market today.

Easily Converts to a Pedal Bike

Unlike most balance bikes, the LittleBig grows with your child. Start in balance mode, then simply install the separate pedal kit when your child is ready — no need to buy a separate pedal bike later. 

The novel sliding bottom bracket and forward-mounted pedal system keeps the seat low (just 39 cm in pedal mode), letting smaller children ride confidently with feet reaching the ground. And with full-length saddle height adjustability, it fits kids all the way up to 6 years old.

My first child got the littlebig for Christmas 2014. My 2nd, 3rd & now my 4th child have all used the littlebig, changing from balance bike to pedals with ease each time. The great thing is you can buy all parts separately so if you need to replace any parts (which wasn't needed very much) or just want to spruce it up (which never needed to be done during our time with it), it can be done very easily and this bike can just keep going and continue to be loved, which is also great environmentally! Additionally, customer service is second to none with littlebig...you can't go wrong!

Excellent bikes. We have 2 of these bikes. They are excellent quality and are beautifully made. They are very easy to assemble. Both children loved them as balance bikes and started on them when they were nearly 3. They have now transitioned onto their pedals with ease. They are light weight and ease to manage for them. Attaching the pedals is relatively simple and straightforward.
I would 100% recommend to a friend and do so on regular occasions.

I’m an amateur bike mechanic and appreciate good components. I have shopped far and wide for a kid’s bike that would really impress me. This is it!

As I said to my grandson, it has big bike parts like mine. That’s what really impressed me. It’s real solid yet light weight, has truly functional hand brakes, and a real headset for the handlebars. The wheel bearings are smooth and solid as well as on the pedal assembly. Who would’ve thought on a kids bike! He likes to ride fast, and there’s lots of dirt roads and hills around here. I wanted him to be safe on a good functional bike. I’m very pleased! Thank you all for a wonderful product!

Oh, and this bike made it all the way to Hawaii. The box was so beat up that I actually took pictures for fear there was damage. The packing was so well done that the bike was in pristine condition.

The day the bike arrived I couldn’t wait for my daughter to see it. It really is beautiful and she loves it. We went straight out for a go and my daughter took to it amazing. How Do You Know When Your Child Is Ready To Begin Pedalling? Signo más

In order to start pedalling on the LittleBig bike, your child’s inside leg length needs to be approximately 39cm or more. As well as fitting the bike correctly, your child should also be able to:

  1. Coast along with their feet up
  2. Able to make controlled turns
  3. Preferably able to use the balance bike’s brakes
  4. Have the strength to pedal the bike

We cover any obvious manufacturing defects – not covered are damages caused by neglect, crashes, misusage or wear and tear. All you need to do is contact us with a photo of the problem and we will help get your child back on their bike as quickly as possible.
